Highlighting Tim Bavington's unique artistic style, fusing bright colors with geometric patterns, the piece Joe Joe is inspired by The Beatles 1970 classic "Get Back."  This piece is unique amongst Bavington's work in that it is on a parallelogram, rather than containing his typical straight vertical lines.

The Beatles connections to Las Vegas began with their two shows at the Las Vegas Convention Center on August 20, 1964, each seen by an audience of 8,000 people. In 2006, The Beatles Apple Corps and Cirque Du Soleil colloborated to create "Love," for the Mirage Hotel and Casino.

As a Las Vegas based artist, Bavington's work can be found in multiple locations throughout the city, including a large scale display at Symphony Park, and a similar painted work within the High Limit Slots area of the Aria Hotel and Casino. In creating his paintings, Bavington typically utilizes the sheet music of the song along with a chord wheel to determine the stripe pattern, and then uses a chord wheel, along with the feeling of the music to determine the color palette. He then uses airbrushes, stencils and synthetic acrylic paint to create the actual artwork you see.

In addition to his prolific art work on display throughout Las Vegas, Tim's influence in the local art community continues through his professorship at UNLV.
