Created by Chicago based architect, interior designer, and artist Jordan Mozer, "Now's the Time" is inspired by the Charlie Parker song "Now's the Time".

 This piece explores the relationships between the harmonics, the rhythm, and the melody found in this composition through the use red bronze and copper. Pieces are interwoven, just like the music of each instrument is interwoven to complete the song

The original recording of "Now's the Time" from November 1945 includes the incredible jazz talent of Parker on alto sax, Miles Davis on trumpet, and Dizzy Gillesie on Piano.

Born in Kansas City, Kansas in 1920, Charlie Parker began playing saxophone at age 11, and played in his high school band until withdrawing from school 1935 to pursue a full-time musical career. Through diligent and extensive practive, he mastered improvisation and developed the root ideas of bebop.

Jordan Mozer is a prolific designer of unique spaces, both inside and out. His work at the Bellagio consisted of multiple restaurant and bar spaces, along with the original sports book. His Chicago studio designs and manufactures components, including lighting, furnishings, artwork, and graphics.
